PETITION: e-6719

As Gaza endures one of the most catastrophic humanitarian crises in modern memory, thousands of Palestinian-Canadians are watching in anguish as their loved ones remain trapped in a war zone. Bombardment, starvation, disease, and the collapse of infrastructure have turned daily survival into a desperate gamble.

In December 2023, Canada launched the Gaza Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) program, promising a pathway to safety for at-risk relatives of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. But nearly two years later, the program has become a symbol of bureaucratic inertia. Fewer than 2% of applicants have been evacuated directly from Gaza. Families are separated at border crossings. Children are stranded. And time is running out.

PETITION: e-6721

Petition e-6721 is a wake-up call for Canadians who believe our national priorities should reflect peace, sustainability, and social investment—not militarization. The petition urges the federal government to reject participation in the United States’ proposed Gold Dome Defence System, a $175 billion missile shield project unveiled by President Donald Trump earlier this year.

The Gold Dome is being billed as the most expansive missile defence initiative in history—a multi-layered system stretching from ground-based interceptors to armed satellites in space. While the U.S. claims it will protect against everything from drones to hypersonic missiles, critics warn it could provoke nuclear escalation, undermine space diplomacy, and drain public resources for a system that may not even work.

PETITION: e-6732

Petition e-6732 is a direct appeal to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, demanding that Canada uphold its moral and legal obligations under international humanitarian law. As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank deepens—with allegations of genocide and ethnic cleansing raised by the International Court of Justice and UN bodies—Canada’s immigration system has failed to respond with the urgency and equity the moment demands.

This isn’t just about immigration—it’s about justice. Canada has the capacity to act swiftly, as it did with Ukrainian refugees. The question is whether it will extend the same urgency and empathy to Palestinians fleeing war and persecution.

If Canada truly stands for human rights, it must act now. Equal protection cannot be selective.
